A warm, family-friendly stage for young performers to shine 🎤✨
Family Open Mic Night is Art Play Café's monthly celebration of young performers, held the first Friday of every month from 5–6pm. Whether your kid has been practicing a song for weeks or wants to hop up on a whim, this is their stage — and yours is the front row.
Open to musicians ages 0–18 (yes, really — toddlers welcome), performers can take the stage solo or be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. Local music teachers Julia Cramer and Tyler Johnson host the evening and are on hand to provide optional accompaniment, with sound equipment and instruments available for anyone who needs them.
No advance signup, no pressure — just show up, sign up, and cheer each other on.
