Youth Studio Classes
At Art Play Café, our classes spark creativity and build artistic confidence for students of all ages. We offer both structured classes for skill-building and casual drop-in programs for open-ended exploration.
After-School Art Club

Drop-in per class $30 or $150 per 6-week session
Looking for a fun and flexible way for your child to unwind after school? After School Art Club is a teacher-led, drop-in style class where creativity takes the lead.
Each session offers a creation station stocked with all kinds of supplies for making alongside a fine art invitation. The fine art project changes day to day, guaranteeing exposure to many different materials and mediums. Fine art invitations might include:
watercolors
air dry clay sculpting
acrylic painting
oil/chalk pastels
fiber arts
much much more!
Our incredible art teacher, Miss Iris, guides students through process-based classes, creating an open-ended space for imagination, self-expression, and exploration. Perfect for young makers who love to dream, build, and create at their own pace.
Foundations of Art
Grades 4-8
Tuesdays 3:30-4:30
6 Week Series
1 hr classes
$30 per class or $150 per session
Registration required
Foundations of Art is tailored for older students who are ready to deepen their artistic skills and understanding. Through guided lessons in drawing, painting, and design, students will build a strong foundation in technique while also learning about the elements and principles of art. Along the way, they’ll explore key moments in art history and practice bringing their own creative voice into their work.
Our Approach
-

✺
Process Over Product
We emphasize creativity, exploration, and confidence-building rather than focusing on a “perfect” finished piece.
-

✺
Hands-On Discovery
Students learn by experimenting with a variety of tools, techniques, and materials in a supportive environment.
-

✺
Foundations with Flexibility
We teach essential art skills and concepts while encouraging each child to develop their own artistic voice.
