With a private party room and art-filled play space in Petaluma, we serve families across Sonoma County with birthday packages tailored to various group sizes and budgets, plus an art-studio-centered party for kids who've outgrown the play room.
Book your event up to 6 months in advance, or up until 2 weeks before. Each booking includes a digital invitation to manage guest list and RSVPs.

All party packages include:
Exclusive use of the party room, thoughtfully decorated with colorful birthday banners, so decor is one less thing to worry about.
A 2 hour party time with the first hour in the Party Room and second hour in the Play Room. (1.5 hours in the Party Room for the Big Kid Studio Package)
A dedicated Party Host to help with setup and clean up, guide party timing and direct your party’s art project.

For the Ultimate Art Play Celebration (full Café buyout) the Booking Options are as follows:

Note: A 10% service fee applies to the final total, covering gratuity, setup, and cleanup, so you can leave the details to us.

Little Artist Bash
$375
A sweet and simple celebration for the littlest artists. With sensory play, a collaborative art activity, and time to explore the Play Room, this party is designed for early birthdays that feel fun, easy, and age-appropriate.

The Art Play Party
$495
Room to play, create, and celebrate. This party gives kids exclusive access to our Play Room plus a guided art project, making it perfect for energetic, creative kids who love to move and make.
For ages 4-7.

Big Kid’s Studio Party
$395
They're older, they have opinions, and they want a party that feels theirs. The Big Kid Studio Party is a craft-based experience where every guest dives into a creative project they get to take home at the end of the party.
For ages 7-10.

Party FAQs

We offer the following party times:
Fridays at 1:00 PM
Saturdays at 9:30AM, 12:00 PM, or 2:30PM
Sundays at 9:30AM, 12:00 PM -
Party packages that include play room time run 2 hours total: the first hour in the party room, the second in the play room. While you're enjoying the play room, our staff will reset the party room for the next celebration.
Party packages not including play room time (the Big Kids Studio Party) are 1.5 hours total party time in the Party Room.

You can arrive up to 15 minutes early to set up any personal food or decor for your party. The corresponding package’s art project & any add on's you selected will be set up before you arrive.
Guests will check-in at the front desk to enter the Party Room.
A party host will lead guests through the creative activities.
Next up: food, cake, gifts- whatever your party calls for.
After 1 hour (and the sugar rush), the party will move into the Play Room!
Don’t worry about clean up - we will turn the Party Room over while your party enjoys the play room. Guests will depart from The Play Room after their hour-long play session is complete.
REMINDER: ALL GUESTS IN THE PLAY ROOM ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR SOCKS AND SIGN OUR WAIVER.

Yes! You're welcome to bring your own banners, tableware, party favors, and other small details to make the party feel like yours. We don't allow outside balloons due to our high ceilings.
Prefer not to DIY? We offer several themes you can add to your package, including a custom theme option. And if you'd rather keep things simple, remember the party room already comes thoughtfully decorated with colorful birthday banners and custom signage featuring the birthday kid's name.
The party room is available 15 minutes before your event start time for setup. We ask that decor arrives ready to go, unpackaged and assembled (like favor bags), rather than being prepped in the party room or café.

Yes! You can bring your own food.
Prefer one less thing to plan? We offer food add-ons that both kids and adults love.

For the Little Artist Bash, additional guests beyond the package max may not be added without upgrading to another package.
For the Art Play Party, additional guests beyond the package max may not be added due to Play Room capacity limits.
Day-of surprise add-ons for extra kids (including siblings of invited guests) will incur a $40 fee to participate. If the play room is already at max capacity, we won't be able to admit additional guests, so we recommend confirming your final headcount in advance.

Max capacity for Little Artist Bash is 25 total people (including parents, grandparents, siblings etc).
Max capacity for Creative Kids Party is 35 total people (including parents, grandparents, siblings etc).
The Big Kid’s Studio Party does not have a total person max since there is no use of the Play Room.
Max capacity for The Ultimate Art Play Celebration is 25 kids, 95 total people(including parents, grandparents, siblings etc).
These numbers are all based on the max capacity of the play room.

Parties have been thoughtfully designed to meet kids at their interest and developmental levels. We take the guess work out for you so you don’t have to.

We know plans change, life happens! While deposits and final payments are non-refundable, we're happy to apply what you've paid as a credit toward a future party or booking at Art Play Café, valid for one year from your original event date.
If you cancel more than 3 days before your scheduled party, your deposit is forfeited and no further payment is owed.
If you cancel within 3 days of your scheduled party, the full balance is still due.
All cancellations can be made by emailing hello@artplaycafe.com.
Party Terms & Conditions
Deposit & Booking Confirmation
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your party reservation. Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received.
Service & Gratuity Fee
A 10% Service & Gratuity Fee will be added to your booking. This fee covers the setup and cleanup of your event and ensures your party host is fairly compensated for providing exceptional service throughout your celebration.
BYO Decor & Food
Guests are welcome to bring their own food, beverages, and decorations to personalize their celebration.
Final Payment
The remaining balance will be due on the day of your event.
Add-On Changes
You may add or remove party add-ons, such as decor, food, or activities, up to 1 week before your event starts. If your guest list grows, you may also upgrade your party package, subject to availability. No credits or refunds will be provided for unused guest spots or add-ons.
Cancellation & Credit Policy
All deposits and final payments are non-refundable. However, if you need to cancel your event, we're happy to apply the amount paid as a credit toward a future party or booking at Art Play Café. This credit must be used within one year of your original event date.
Parties canceled within 3 days of the scheduled event remain responsible for the full balance of the party.
Agreement to Terms
By completing your reservation, you acknowledge and agree to the above terms and conditions.
Socks & Waivers
All minor guests must have a waiver on file with Art Play Cafe LLC. Socks must be worn by all guests in the Play Room.
